No Name Calling Day
On January 25th, 2013 the Cyber Citizens promoted No Name Calling Day. This was a day that students not only pledge to wear black to "black out name calling", but it was also a day that students refrained from name calling of any kind. The Cyber Citizens have been on a quest to teach others that bullying is not the way. The day was a huge success with over 200 people signing posters to show that they support the cause.
No Name calling day is held annually in schools
and communities across the country and is part of the anti-bullying legislation that Gov. Deval Patrick signed in 2010. The idea of holding such a day was inspired by a novel entitled The Misfits, by James Howe.
The Cyber Citizens have also set upcontainers in each level and ask students to write down any good deeds, or positive things that they see their peers doing. The goal is to connect all these good deeds together to one giant paper chain. We call this project,“Chain Reaction.” It is our hope that seeing one student doing something positive will inspire others to do the same.

Manage Your Anger Day
On November 20th, 2012 the Cyber Citizens sponsored a Manage Your Anger Day. This was a day to recognize that while it is perfectly normal to have anger, you need to learn how to manage that anger and express it in a mature and responsible manner. The Cyber Citizens made pamphlets with tips and pointers on how to manage your anger. The Cyber Citizens also made hot chocolate and offered a free cup to any student who was willing to sign the Peaceful Petition. Currently, we have over 200 signatures pledging to be peaceful in their school and communities. If you would like a copy of the pledge or want to see pictures of the morning please click here or go to the Anger Management Day page.
